year end Boston Public School system academic achievement report for 2008
About the Boston public school system

There were 144 schools in the system when the previous school year began in September 2008. Since then, the administration has made changes. Some schools were closed, staff has been reduced and other schools were reconfigured to retain students, lower costs and increase operations efficiency.

Some were totally disappointed by the changes that went through. Others believe these changes were good for the long haul. The re-mix was implemented by Superintendent Carol Johnson to improve the Boston Public School system and save money where it could be saved.

A new web site has been created for the community by the Boston Public Schools Department and its here.
